About

Burchfield Branch Park sits along the forested shores of Holt Lake on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway. Created by the damming of the Black Warrior River, the lake and surrounding area showcase scenic fall foliage and support deer, wild turkey, squirrel, and migratory birds. The campground features 36 sites with electric and water hookups, including one tent-only site. Amenities include hot showers, a dump station, laundry facilities, trash receptacles, and two playgrounds. Each site has a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Fishing is the primary draw, with anglers targeting bass, crappie, bream, and catfish from boats or along the shore. A boat ramp provides direct lake access. The Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway spans 457 miles with 39,800 surface acres of water across six lakes.
