About

Jennings Ferry Campground is situated on a peninsula between the Black Warrior River and Clear Creek on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway in Hale County, Alabama. The campground offers 52 spacious, level campsites, all equipped with 50-amp electrical and water hookups. Sites are private and positioned near or close to the water, providing convenient access to fishing and boating activities. The facility features a modern shower and restroom building, a boat ramp with security lighting, a playground for families, and picnic areas throughout the campground. A half-mile nature trail winds through the woods following the water's edge, offering opportunities for wildlife observation and leisurely walks. The campground is surrounded by scenic hardwood forests and calm waters, home to deer, squirrel, wild turkey, migratory birds, and bluebirds. Fishing is the primary recreational activity, with excellent opportunities for bass, crappie, bream, and catfish from both boat and shore. The gently sloping shoreline and boat ramp make water access easy for anglers and boaters. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Black Warrior and Tombigbee Lakes recreation area.

Directions

From Demopolis, Alabama, take Highway 43 north towards Eutaw. At Highway 14, take a right. Proceed for approximately seven miles to the park.
