About

Jennings Ferry Campground occupies a scenic peninsula between the Black Warrior River and Clear Creek along the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this 52-site campground caters to RV campers with 50-amp electrical and water hookups at every site. The facility includes a shower and restroom building, playground, and picnic areas. Fishing drives most visits here. Anglers fish from boats or the shoreline for bass, crappie, bream, catfish, and other species. The boat ramp features security lighting for early morning or evening launches. A half-mile nature trail winds through the hardwood forests along the water's edge, offering opportunities to spot deer, wild turkey, and migratory birds. The surrounding Tombigbee River woodlands provide a quiet escape from urban areas. Temperatures run in the 80s to 90s from April through September, with annual rainfall averaging about 60 inches. The facility sits approximately 100 feet above sea level.
