About
Lake George Battleground Campground occupies a wooded setting just a quarter mile south of Lake George Village in New York's Adirondack Park. The 66-site facility caters to tent campers and smaller trailers, with back-in driveways ranging from 20 to 30 feet. While no electric, water, or sewer hookups are available, the campground provides flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. The location offers convenient access to Lake George Village's restaurants, shops, and attractions. Swimming is available at the nearby Lake George Beach Day Use Area, and Prospect Mountain provides hiking opportunities with panoramic views of the lake region. Boating, fishing, and various recreational rentals are all within 10 miles. Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 7 AM and are strictly enforced. Generator use is limited to five hours daily during designated periods. Fires must be built in provided fireplaces using only dead and down wood. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights.
