Hearthstone Point Campground occupies a scenic peninsula on Lake George, one of the most popular vacation destinations in New York's Adirondack Park. Established in 1927, the campground offers 243 tent and trailer sites spread across nearly 100 acres, with eight ADA-accessible sites available. The sandy beach provides unsupervised swimming access to the crystal-clear waters of Lake George. Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, a trailer dump station, recycling center, water spigots throughout the campground, and a gazebo. While there are no hookups, the campground accommodates trailers and RVs up to approximately 30 feet depending on the site. Pets are welcome with current rabies vaccination, though they are restricted from the beach and day-use areas. The campground's location just 2 miles north of Lake George Village provides easy access to restaurants, shopping, museums, and boat rentals. Nearby activities include hiking, fishing, kayaking, and golfing. A Junior Naturalist Program is available for younger campers. Firewood must be sourced from within a 50-mile radius to prevent the spread of invasive species.
