About

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park Campground is perched high above Lake Cumberland's 52,000-acre expanse in Russell County, Kentucky. The campground features 87 sites total, including 11 full-hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer for RVs up to 40 feet, and 76 primitive tent sites. With more than 1,225 miles of shoreline, Lake Cumberland is considered one of the finest fishing and boating areas in the Eastern United States, offering abundant largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, Kentucky bass, bluegill, crappie, rockfish, and walleye. The campground includes modern bathhouses with showers, a dump station, playground, and laundry facilities. Fire rings and grills are available at campsites. The State Dock offers both open and covered slips and rental fishing boats, pontoon boats, and ski boats. Recreation options include an 18-hole miniature golf course, 18-hole disc golf course, a four-mile loop trail, and interpretive programs led by a full-time naturalist. The Rowena Landing Restaurant at Lure Lodge provides dining options, and firewood and ice are available for purchase in the campground.
