About
Cumberland Point Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility on 30 scenic acres along Lake Cumberland's main body in southern Kentucky. The campground offers 30 shaded campsites with electric and water hookups; fourteen are highly desirable waterfront sites. Dense stands of mature hardwoods provide pleasant shade and wildlife habitat throughout the property. Facilities include flush restrooms, hot showers, potable drinking water, and a dump station. A boat ramp provides direct lake access for anglers targeting Lake Cumberland's abundant bass, bluegill, crappie, rockfish, and walleye populations. The campground also features a playground, picnic shelter, and day-use area. The entrance and exit roads have a moderate to severe grade, making the campground unsuitable for larger RVs. Maximum RV length is 26 feet. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov. The Mill Springs Battlefield Park, a historic Civil War site, is a 20-minute drive away.
