Open — Open year-round. Park gates open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Reservations are highly recommended as the park often reaches capacity.

Lake Bob Sandlin State Park is located on the shores of 9,000-acre Lake Bob Sandlin in northeast Texas, where the Post Oak Savannah and Piney Woods ecoregions meet. This unique location creates a diverse landscape of massive trees, tall grasses, and fascinating plant and animal species. The park offers excellent fishing for largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie, with access from shore, pier, or boat. Anglers can also try the stocked Trout Pond or Brim Pond. The campground features 75 sites with water and 30-amp electric hookups, with nine sites positioned along the lake's edge. Some sites include shade shelters. For a more rustic experience, 16 primitive hike-in sites are available in two heavily wooded areas within walking distance of Two-Acre Pond, requiring a quarter to one-mile hike from the parking area. All sites accommodate up to eight people. Recreational opportunities include swimming, boating, kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking on 3.3 miles of wooded trails. The park provides a boat ramp, lighted fishing pier, fish cleaning station, and kayak rentals. Visitors can enjoy spectacular fall foliage in autumn, participate in ranger programs and nature walks on most weekends, and explore nearby attractions in Mount Pleasant, Mount Vernon, and Pittsburg.

From Texarkana: Take I-30 West to Mt Pleasant. Take exit 160 to Ferguson Road/Highway 271 South. Go south to Highway 127. Turn right on Highway 127. Continue to Highway 21. Turn south for about one mile. Park will be on the left.
