About

Daingerfield State Park sits in the rolling Piney Woods of northeast Texas, preserving 551 acres of mixed pine and hardwood forest surrounding an 80-acre spring-fed lake. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression, the park retains its rustic character through historic stone and timber structures including rental cabins and the Bass Lodge. The campground offers 58 sites across three loops. Cedar Ridge provides 18 tent-only sites with water spigots, fire rings, grills, and tent pads. The Big Pine area has 40 RV sites with full hookups (water, electric, sewer), including 10 pull-through sites. All sites have picnic tables and access to nearby restrooms with showers. The lake supports fishing for bass, catfish, and crappie, with a fishing pier and boat ramp available. Paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks can be rented at the park store. Fall foliage draws visitors in October and November when sweetgums and maples turn brilliant colors.
