About
Alley Creek Camp is located on the banks of Lake O' the Pines, a 18,700-acre reservoir in the Ark-La-Tex Pineywoods of east Texas spanning five counties. The campground provides excellent lake access for boating, fishing, swimming, and water sports. Anglers target largemouth, spotted, and white bass along with crappie, catfish, and sunfish from boats or along the shoreline. Birdwatchers frequent the area for bald eagle sightings, particularly in fall and winter. The facility features 49 RV campsites with water and electric hookups (30 and 50 amp service), 30 tent-only sites equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, and lantern poles, and a group camping area with a shelter, restrooms, showers, and 12 additional RV sites. Each section of the park has restrooms with showers. A boat ramp, playground, swimming beach, and RV dump station round out the amenities. Nearby Jefferson and Marshall offer historic attractions, and the Texas Wildflower Trail routes pass through the surrounding countryside. Hunting for white-tailed deer, waterfowl, and small game is available on adjacent public lands.
