About

Brushy Creek Campground is a US Army Corps of Engineers facility on Lake O' the Pines, a 18,700-acre reservoir spanning five counties in the Pineywoods of east Texas near Jefferson. The campground occupies a shaded peninsula with direct lake access and views across the water. The campground has 99 sites: 62 RV sites with water and electric hookups and 37 tent sites, 12 of which have electricity. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Flush restrooms with showers are located throughout the campground. A dump station, boat ramp, courtesy dock, swimming beach, fishing dock, and playground round out the facilities. Lake O' the Pines offers excellent fishing for largemouth, spotted, and white bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish. Bald eagles are frequently spotted in fall and winter. The nearby towns of Jefferson and Marshall offer historic attractions, and Texas Wildflower Trail routes wind along roads surrounding the lake.
