Brushy Creek Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility situated along the banks of Lake O' the Pines in the Ark-La-Tex portion of the Pineywoods of east Texas, near the borders of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The campground provides developed camping in a scenic lakeside setting among tall pine trees that offer ample shade. The campground features 62 RV campsites with water and electric hookups, accommodating both 30 and 50 amp service. An additional 37 tent sites are available, with 12 of these offering electric hookups. Restrooms with showers are located throughout the park sections, and trash receptacles are provided. The park includes a boat ramp with courtesy dock, swimming beach, fishing dock, playground, and sewer dump station. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov. Lake O' the Pines encompasses approximately 18,700 acres of water and 9,000 acres of land, created by the Ferrell's Bridge Dam on Big Cypress Bayou. The lake offers excellent fishing for largemouth, spotted, and white bass, along with crappie, catfish, and sunfish. Bank fishing is available along the shore and below the dam. Boating and water sports are popular activities. Wildlife viewing is exceptional, with numerous resident and migratory bird species, and bald eagles commonly sighted in fall and winter. Hunting for white-tailed deer, waterfowl, and small game is available on nearby public lands. The historic towns of Jefferson and Marshall are nearby.

Directions

From Jefferson, TX, travel 3.8 miles northwest on Highway 49. Turn left onto FM 729 and continue for approximately 3.5 miles, then turn left again onto FM 726. Travel 5.0 miles, turn right at the stop sign and follow signs to the park entrance.
