About

Lake Barkley State Resort Park campground is located on the western shore of Lake Barkley, created by damming the Cumberland River near Cadiz, Kentucky. The 79-site campground includes 73 sites with 30-amp electrical and water hookups, plus 6 primitive sites. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with back-in driveways ranging from 32 to 71 feet depending on the site. Two central service buildings provide flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities beyond camping. Anglers can pursue bass, crappie, and catfish from the shore or rent boats at the full-service marina. The Boots Randolph Golf Course provides 18 holes with lake views, while over 12 miles of trails wind through the 3,700-acre park. The lodge features an indoor fitness center with heated pool, whirlpool, and sauna. Windows on the Water restaurant serves Kentucky cuisine overlooking the lake. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31. Some sites currently lack electricity due to ongoing maintenance, and burn bans may be in effect depending on conditions. Maximum occupancy is 8 people per site, with an additional $5 per night charge for more than 4 adults.
