About

Cadiz Park sits on the shores of Lake Barkley, a massive 57,900-acre reservoir with over 1,000 miles of shoreline managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This day-use recreation area serves as a convenient launch point for water activities and family gatherings near the town of Cadiz, Kentucky. The facility centers around a group picnic shelter that can host up to 100 people, making it ideal for reunions, church groups, and large gatherings. The park provides essential amenities including a boat ramp for lake access, playground equipment for children, barbecue grills, and ample paved parking. Lake Barkley is renowned for its fishing opportunities, including the state record yellow bass at one pound one ounce. Summer water temperatures range from 70 to 80 degrees, making it comfortable for swimming and water sports. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Cadiz, visitors have easy access to grocery stores, gas stations, and other services. The park operates seasonally, typically closing during winter months. Lake Barkley State Resort Park is nearby, offering additional hiking trails and horseback riding opportunities.
