About

Cravens Bay Campground is one of 11 self-service campgrounds in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, offering a more primitive camping experience with fewer amenities than the developed campgrounds. Located on the shores of Lake Barkley, the campground provides year-round lakeside camping with beautiful water access and a boat ramp for launching watercraft. The campground features designated campsite pads with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills at each site. Vault toilets are available year-round, with flush toilets operating from March through November. Drinking water is available from faucets, and trash pickup service is provided. The self-service payment system requires campers to fill out a fee envelope and deposit it in the Iron Ranger fee tube within 30 minutes of setting up camp. As a self-service facility, Cravens Bay offers solitude and a more rustic experience compared to developed campgrounds. The campground is located along the Woodlands Scenic Trace (Forest Service Road 100) in Lyon County, Kentucky. There are no hookups or showers available. Campers should bring local firewood rather than transporting it from home.
