Hurricane Creek Campground occupies a scenic stretch of Lake Barkley shoreline in Trigg County, Kentucky. The 57,900-acre reservoir offers 1,004 miles of shoreline with comfortable summer water temperatures, making it ideal for swimming, boating, and fishing. White-tailed deer and raccoons are common wildlife sightings throughout the wooded campground. The campground provides 51 sites total: 45 RV electric sites with water and electric hookups (some with 50-amp service) and 6 primitive walk-to tent sites. Sites include a picnic table, lantern post, fire ring, and grate. Site lengths accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, with at least one pull-through site available offering a 180-foot driveway. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, laundry, a playground, dump station, and swimming area. Nearby attractions include the three-mile Lake Barkley State Park Trail and the Lyon County Museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum highlights the area's immigration history dating back to 1865.

From Paducah, Kentucky: Take I-24 east to exit 45. Turn right on Highway 293 west and go 0.3 miles. Turn left on Highway 93 south, go 5.3 miles. Turn right on Highway 274 south, go 5.7 miles. Turn right on Hurricane Camp Road. Campground on left. From Nashville, Tennessee: Take I-24 west to Exit 56. Turn left on Highway 139 north and go approximately one mile. Turn right on Highway 276, go eight miles. Turn right on Highway 274 and drive one mile. Turn left on Hurricane Camp Road; campground is on left.
