About
La Bobita Campground serves as an overflow facility in Carson National Forest's Questa Ranger District, activated during peak holiday weekends when primary campgrounds like Cimarron and Columbine reach capacity. The campground was recently renovated and features 11 single sites suitable for tents and smaller RVs. Situated along the scenic Enchanted Circle Byway between Questa and Red River, La Bobita provides access to the surrounding high mountain terrain and nearby recreational opportunities. The campground operates on a call-ahead basis, with the entire site available for group rental at $80 per night. This is a primitive camping experience with no potable water or restroom facilities. Campers must bring all their own water and plan for self-contained sanitation. The site works well as a group gathering spot given its modest size and rental option.
