These are day-use picnic shelters, not overnight camping facilities. They are available for reservation as day-use areas featuring covered seating with tables and grills. For overnight camping at Kiser Lake State Park, use the separate campground facility.
About
Kiser Lake State Park's Scenic and Lakeview Shelters are day-use picnic facilities situated along State Route 235 in Champaign County, Ohio. Lakeview Shelter is located on the south side of the lake approximately 6 miles north of the SR 235/36 intersection, while Scenic Shelter sits on the north side about 6.25 miles north of the same intersection. Both shelters feature picnic tables and grills but do not permit open fires.
These are reservable day-use areas intended for picnics, family gatherings, and group events rather than overnight camping. For overnight accommodations, visitors should look to the separate Kiser Lake State Park Campground, which offers Sherman Cabins, camper cabins, electric and non-electric sites, and tent-only camping.
The park surrounds a pristine 396-acre lake where motorized boats are prohibited, making it a haven for sailing, paddling, and fishing. A 600-foot swimming beach operates Memorial Day through Labor Day, and scuba diving is permitted outside the beach area.
