Mad River near Springfield. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mad River near Springfield. * WHEN...From early this morning to this evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, West 1st Street in Springfield Township floods, including the Forest Lake Fishing and Campround area, with water approaching some businesses along West 1st Street. Spangler Road downstream of Springfield also floods. Flood waters approach several homes to the southwest of Springfield. In addition, the Mad River experiences widespread flooding in Champaign County near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 11.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Buck Creek State Park's 24 cabins provide comfortable lodging in a wooded area separated from the main campground, with several units offering scenic views of the 2,120-acre lake. The cabins have been recently remodeled and updated to provide modern comfort while maintaining a natural setting. Standard and Standard Pet Cabins accommodate up to 5 people, while Preferred Cabins sleep up to 6 guests, with some featuring gas fireplaces. An ADA-accessible cabin is available that sleeps up to 4 people. Each cabin is equipped with air conditioning, television with satellite TV, an outdoor grill, and a screened porch with picnic table. The cabins feature full bathrooms with flush toilets and are situated to provide a balance of privacy and proximity to the park's recreational facilities. The lake offers extensive opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming, while the park includes hiking trails, disc golf, and two marinas with amenities. Buck Creek State Park is located in Clark County, Ohio, in a historically rich agricultural area. The park's facilities center around water-based recreation on the expansive lake, making the cabins an ideal base for family getaways and outdoor enthusiasts seeking modern comfort in a natural setting.

From I-70, take exit 62 onto Route 40 west for 3 miles to North Bird Road. Head north for 1 mile, following signs to the park entrance.
