CJ Brown Dam and Reservoir - Dam Site is a day-use group shelter facility at the 2,120-acre C.J. Brown Reservoir in west-central Ohio. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the site features three large reservable picnic shelters with lakefront and scenic views. Each shelter accommodates up to 150 people with parking for 40-52 vehicles, making them ideal for family reunions, company picnics, and community events. The shelters include 30-amp electric service, picnic tables, and grills. Restrooms are available at the nearby Visitor Center, which also features exhibits on the Corps of Engineers and the natural history of the area. The reservoir was designated an Ohio Important Bird Area in 2002 and is surrounded by restored prairie, wetlands, and forest habitats. For overnight camping, visitors should use the adjacent Buck Creek State Park Campground, operated by Ohio DNR. The Dam Site area offers excellent access to hiking and biking trails, fishing, and wildlife watching, but is strictly day-use only with the park closing at 11 p.m.

From I-70 westbound, exit at US 40 and go west to Bird Rd. Turn right (north) on Bird Rd. then left on Old Columbus Rd. Follow signs for the CJ Brown Visitor Center, turn right onto Croft Rd., then right onto Overlook Drive into the park. From I-70 eastbound, exit at SR 4, follow 4 north through Springfield to Croft Rd. Turn right on Croft and left onto Overlook Dr.
