Indian Lake State Park Shelters consists of two reservable day-use picnic shelters located within the park: Moundwood Shelter and Fox Island Shelter. These open-air facilities are designed for family gatherings, group events, and picnics with scenic lake views and park access. Moundwood Shelter is a 35' x 45' open structure situated in the Moundwood channel area near a kayak launch. It features 6 electric outlets (110 amp), 6 picnic tables, and is less than 100 yards from flush restrooms. A playground is nearby for families with children. Fox Island Shelter is a smaller 30' x 20' open structure with 6 electric outlets (110 amp), 8 picnic tables, a group grill, and parking for up to 50 vehicles. It is located close to restrooms, the lake, beach, volleyball court, and boat rental. Note that Fox Island sustained significant tornado damage in March 2024 which destroyed a shelter house; cleanup may still be ongoing.

Directions

Indian Lake State Park is located at 13156 State Route 235 N, Lakeview, OH 43331. Accessible from SR 117 and US 33, the park is approximately an hour's drive northwest of Columbus. Upon entering Lakeview, follow the signs directing you to the park entrance.
