Locally heavy rainfall and the potential for storms to repeatedly track over the same areas are possible. This will result in the potential for flash flooding.
About
Buck Creek State Park Campground is located within a diverse 1,896-acre park centered around a 2,120-acre reservoir near Springfield, Ohio. The modern campground offers 101 campsites, with 89 featuring 30-amp electric service and the remainder as primitive sites. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Campground facilities include flush restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, laundry room, water spigots, and trash service throughout. The park's recreational opportunities focus on the lake, with fishing for largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish, plus boating and a marina with fuel and bait. Campers have access to a designated beach area, walking and biking paths, and basketball courts. The campground sits in a separate area from the park's 23 cabins, which offer an alternative lodging option. Pets are permitted at designated campsites and must be leashed at all times. Reservations are required and can be made through ReserveOhio or by calling the reservation line. Ohio state parks do not charge entrance fees.
Directions
From I-70, take Exit 62 (State Route 41) north. Follow SR 41 north to Buck Creek Lane and turn right into the park. The campground is located at 1976 Buck Creek Lane, Springfield, OH 45502.
