Indian Lake State Park Campground sits on the northwest section of the 5,100-acre Indian Lake in Logan County, Ohio. Originally built in 1851 as a feeder lake for the Miami and Erie Canal, Indian Lake transformed into one of the Midwest's premier recreational destinations. The campground features over 440 family campsites suitable for tents and RVs, with most sites offering electric hookups and some designated as premium waterfront locations. All sites are pet-friendly and include picnic tables and fire pits. Registered campers enjoy exclusive access to facilities including a private beach, swimming pool, boat ramp, and boat docks. The campground provides heated shower houses, flush toilets, a laundry facility, and a camp commissary for convenience. A nature center near the amphitheater operates during summer months with naturalist programming. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive recreational opportunities. The lake permits unlimited horsepower boating with five launch ramps and 500 seasonal dock rentals available. Fishing is excellent for largemouth bass, saugeye, walleye, crappie, and catfish. The 3.5-mile paved Indian Lake Bike Trail connects multiple beach areas. Winter activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling on the frozen lake, and cross-country skiing. The campground remains open year-round for those seeking a quieter off-season experience.
