About

Kershaw-Ryan State Park is a striking desert oasis situated in Rainbow Canyon, where towering sandstone walls rise up to 700 feet above a verdant valley floor. Located about 2 miles south of Caliente in Lincoln County, the park offers a sharp contrast to the surrounding high desert landscape, with natural springs supporting lush vegetation including wild grapes, oaks, and willows. The campground consists of 16 developed sites equipped with 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups plus water connections. Each site includes a shade ramada, picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Four additional tent-only sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with fire rings and tent pads. Facilities include modern restrooms, coin-operated showers, and an RV dump station. Beyond camping, the park features 14 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking through the canyon landscape. The area's colorful geology and year-round springs make it a popular destination for outdoor recreation in southeastern Nevada.
