About

The Malabar Farm State Park Day Use Area is a shelter house facility designed for group gatherings, not overnight camping. Located within the historic Malabar Farm State Park in Lucas, Ohio, the shelter house offers a covered pavilion for picnics, meetings, family reunions, and other group events. This day-use facility requires advance reservations through ReserveOhio. Nearby amenities include restrooms and drinking water. The surrounding park offers 12 miles of hiking and equestrian trails, farm tours of the historic Louis Bromfield estate, fishing in farm ponds, and tours of the iconic 32-room Big House. Note: For overnight camping at Malabar Farm State Park, visitors should look for the separate Malabar Farm Campground, which offers 15 primitive equestrian-friendly sites.
