Kaler Hollow Campground offers a remote, primitive camping experience in the Ashley National Forest near Vernal, Utah. With just 4 tent sites positioned at the north end of the Taylor Mountain Plateau, this is an ideal destination for campers seeking solitude and access to backcountry recreation. The campground sits along the historic Old Carter Military Trail, providing opportunities for hiking and exploring the area's history. OHV enthusiasts will appreciate the unrestricted riding areas both north and south of the campground, and the Forest Service provides free detailed maps of permitted OHV zones. Nearby Big Brush Creek Cave offers a unique underground exploration opportunity for adventurous visitors. Due to its remote location and primitive nature, campers should come prepared with all necessary supplies including water.
