About

Joe Graham Horse Campground sits at approximately 3,350 feet elevation in Mt. Hood National Forest, surrounded by tall fir trees near a marshy meadow. Designed specifically for equestrian use, each of the 13 campsites includes horse corrals and tie rails to accommodate pack animals. The campground offers vault toilets, potable water from a hand pump, fire rings with grills, and picnic tables. The location provides excellent trail access. The 1-mile Joe Graham Trail begins within the campground and connects to the Pacific Crest Trail, opening up thousands of miles of riding opportunities. Little Crater Lake and the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness are also accessible from nearby trailheads. Clackamas Lake, less than a mile away, offers fishing, swimming, and non-motorized boating. The historic Clackamas Lake Ranger Station, built in the early 1900s, is within walking distance and worth exploring. Timothy Lake, a larger reservoir nearby, permits motorized boats and has additional recreation facilities.
