About
Jerseydale Campground is a rustic, no-fee campground operated by the Bass Lake Ranger District of Sierra National Forest. The campground sits in a shaded area with cedar and pine trees, offering a quiet retreat for those seeking a primitive camping experience near Yosemite's western boundary. The upper loop features hitching posts making this a good option for equestrian campers bringing horses. Sites are situated on sloped terrain, so only a few are well-suited for tent camping. Vault toilets are provided but there is no trash service; campers must pack out all garbage. Maximum group size is 6 people per site. Access is via Forest Road 4S82 just past the Jerseydale Fire Station. The campground typically operates from May through November, though closures may occur due to hazard tree removal or other forest management activities.
