About
Bridalveil Creek Campground offers a serene mountain camping experience in Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 7,200 feet along Glacier Point Road. The campground features 110 standard sites that can accommodate tents, RVs up to 35 feet, and trailers up to 24 feet, plus 3 horse sites and 2 group sites. Set within a beautiful forest of red fir and lodgepole pine, with vanilla-scented Jeffrey pine and western juniper dotting the landscape, campers enjoy views of Yosemite's granite peaks through the trees while the gentle Bridalveil Creek flows nearby. The campground's location provides exceptional access to some of Yosemite's most spectacular features. A scenic 7-mile drive leads to Glacier Point with its sweeping views of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and numerous waterfalls. Hiking trails near the campground range from half-mile walks to nearly 13-mile treks, with popular routes including the 4-Mile Trail, Panorama Trail, Taft Point, Sentinel Dome, and Ostrander Lake. The campground is approximately 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley, making it an ideal base for exploring both the high country and the valley floor. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and food storage locker to protect against bears. The campground operates seasonally due to its high elevation and snow conditions, typically opening mid-July and closing in early September. Reservations are required and are released two weeks in advance on a rolling daily basis at 7 a.m. Pacific time through Recreation.gov. Sites fill extremely quickly, often within seconds or minutes of release.
