About
Bridalveil Creek Campground offers a quieter, high-country alternative to Yosemite Valley's busier campgrounds. Located at 7,200 feet along Glacier Point Road, the campground is nestled in a beautiful forest of red fir, lodgepole pine, vanilla-scented Jeffrey pine, and western juniper. The gentle Bridalveil Creek flows near the site, and craggy granite peaks are visible through the trees. The campground features 110 sites including standard sites, tent-only sites, two group sites (13-30 people), and three equestrian sites. Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic table, and bear-proof food locker. Flush toilets and potable water are available seasonally. There are no hookups, showers, or services nearby. Numerous hiking trails are accessible from Glacier Point Road, including the 4-Mile Trail, Panorama Trail, Taft Point, Sentinel Dome, and Ostrander Lake. Glacier Point itself offers some of the most spectacular views in the park, encompassing Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, Vernal and Nevada Falls, and Clouds Rest.
Directions
From Yosemite Valley, drive south 17 miles on Wawona Road (Highway 41) to the Glacier Point Road turnoff. Follow Glacier Point Road for approximately 9 miles; the campground will be on your right. From the South Entrance, follow Wawona Road approximately 16 miles north to the Glacier Point Road turnoff, then continue 9 miles to the campground.
