About

Jasper Point Campground is one of two developed campgrounds at Prineville Reservoir State Park, situated in Oregon's high desert approximately 54 miles east of Bend. The small and peaceful campground offers 27 first-come, first-served campsites, each equipped with 30-amp electrical service, water hookups, fire pits, and picnic tables. The campground sits along the shore of the 15-mile-long Prineville Reservoir, which features 43 miles of shoreline and is confined by canyon walls and Bowman Dam. The lake is a short walk from all campsites, with some sites offering waterfront views. The campground includes a two-lane boat ramp and serves as a trailhead for a two-mile trail connecting to the main Prineville Reservoir State Park area through juniper-covered slopes above the lake. Sites 6 and 8 are ADA accessible. The campground also features an RV dump station. While most campsites are relatively short and may not be level, the location provides an ideal setting for summertime stargazing, year-round fishing, wildlife viewing, and water-based recreation.
