About

Nestled among a forest of ponderosa pines and just across a dirt road from Dry Creek, Dry Creek Horse Camp is a hidden forest getaway perfect for horse enthusiasts. This primitive campground has been specifically designed to accommodate people who need to corral their horses, with approximately six sites featuring corrals, picnic tables, and fire rings. The Giddy-Up Go Trailhead is located just across the road, providing excellent access to horse-friendly trails including the 9-mile Giddy-Up Go Trail loop that explores the surrounding ridges. This is a free, first-come, first-served facility with no reservations. The campground offers vault toilets and a manure bin, but no potable water is available, so visitors must bring their own. The camp is suitable for smaller rigs with a maximum trailer length of 20 feet due to site limitations. The 14-day stay limit applies as with all Ochoco National Forest campgrounds.
