About

Dry Creek Horse Camp is a rustic equestrian campground tucked into a ponderosa pine forest along Dry Creek in Oregon's Ochoco National Forest. Designed specifically for horse enthusiasts, the campground offers corrals at each campsite with either two or four stalls per site. A vault toilet is available, but campers must bring all drinking water as none is provided. Livestock may drink from the creek when it's running. The campground's prime feature is its direct access to the Giddy-Up Go Trailhead, located just across the road. This provides immediate entry to a network of horse-friendly trails without the need to trailer to a separate staging area. The 20-foot trailer limit keeps the campground suited to smaller rigs and stock trailers rather than large living-quarters setups. This is a free, dispersed-style facility with no reservations. Sites are available first-come, first-served with a 14-day stay limit. The remote location and basic amenities make it ideal for riders seeking a quiet base camp close to quality trail riding.
