About

White Rock Campground is tucked away in a dense ponderosa pine forest on the southeast edge of Mill Creek Wilderness in the Ochoco National Forest. This small, primitive campground offers 3 sites of various sizes, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit/grill. Only one site can accommodate an RV or trailer. Vault toilets are available, but campers must bring their own water. The campground serves as a gateway to backcountry exploration, located within walking distance of the Wildcat South Trailhead providing access to Mill Creek Wilderness where motorized vehicles and bicycles are prohibited. On the drive in, you'll pass the White Fir Springs agate beds, a popular rockhounding destination. Access requires navigating Forest Service Road 300, where the final mile is rough and high-clearance 4WD vehicles are recommended. The remote location and challenging access mean you'll likely have the place to yourself for a quiet forest experience.
