Closure of Fishing on Concrete Boat Ramps withing Flaming Gorge Reservoir

Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Jarvies Family Boat-In Campground occupies a scenic hillside in Jarvies Canyon overlooking Flaming Gorge Reservoir at 6,040 feet elevation. The eight single-family sites are tucked among dense stands of juniper and pinyon pine, providing good privacy between sites though limited shade. Most sites offer partial views of the reservoir and its dramatic red cliff surroundings. A private dock sits a short walk downhill on the shoreline. Access is by boat only; the nearest launch points are Cedar Springs Marina and Mustang Ridge Marina, each roughly 20 minutes across the water. Boats must not exceed 30 feet in length. Each campsite features a picnic table (some with cabana coverings), tent pad, and fire ring with grill. One vault toilet serves the campground. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Trash service is not provided; pack out everything you pack in. Boating, waterskiing, fishing, and swimming are steps from camp. A hiking trail passes through the site. Showers are available at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge facilities with proof of camping registration. Firewood can be purchased at Cedar Springs or Deer Run; do not transport firewood from outside the area.

Directions

Boat-in access only via Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Launch from Cedar Springs Marina (closest ramp) or Mustang Ridge Marina, both approximately 20 minutes by boat. Jarvies Canyon is the first canyon west and slightly north of Cedar Springs Marina. To reach Cedar Springs Marina from Vernal, UT: Take US-191 north 42 miles, turn north onto Forest Road 183, travel approximately 2 miles to the marina.
