About

Dutch John Draw Campground occupies a quiet cove on Flaming Gorge Reservoir within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. At 6,000 feet elevation, this group site accommodates up to 50 people and features a large covered pavilion with picnic tables and a grill. Pinyon pines dot the landscape, though shade is limited, and the entire site offers scenic views of the water. The campground's standout feature is its private boat dock, accessible via a short trail from camp. This provides direct access to boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, and swimming on the reservoir. A boat ramp is available less than 2 miles away at Mustang Ridge for launching larger vessels. Facilities include vault toilets and trash collection, but no potable water is available. Campers must bring their own water supply. The gate to the campground is locked; access is coordinated through the Deer Run Campground host. Showers are available at nearby Deer Run and Mustang Ridge campgrounds with proof of registration.
