About
Dutch John Draw Campground is a group camping facility nestled in a quiet cove on Flaming Gorge Reservoir at 6,000 feet elevation within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. This secluded site accommodates up to 50 people and offers spectacular views of the reservoir from a hillside dotted with pinyon pines. The campground features a large picnic shelter with excellent water views, picnic tables, and a grill. A dedicated boat dock is accessible via a short trail from the campground, providing campers with direct access to boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming. The Mustang Ridge boat ramp is located less than 2 miles away. The site is accessed via well-maintained gravel roads, with gravel parking spurs throughout. Nearby attractions include Flaming Gorge Dam, which offers guided tours of the hydroelectric plant and a visitor center with area history exhibits. The Green River below the dam provides exceptional rafting opportunities through dramatic geology and historic landscapes. Campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site. The gate to the site is locked; access is provided by the Deer Run or Cedar Springs host upon check-in.
Directions
