About

Arch Dam Campground is a group camping facility within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area on the Ashley National Forest. The campground features three group sites: two accommodate up to 75 people each, and one accommodates up to 60 people. Each site includes picnic tables and a campfire circle with dirt roads and parking spurs. Situated in rolling, high desert terrain at 6,200 feet elevation, the campground is dotted with sagebrush and pinyon pines with limited shade. Summer wildflowers and grasses fill the meadows during the warmer months. The campground is less than a mile from Flaming Gorge Dam and the Green River Spillway, and just 3 miles from both Cedar Springs Marina and Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Flaming Gorge Reservoir is renowned for world-class fishing for lake, brown, and rainbow trout. Visitors enjoy boating, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, and scuba diving. The Green River below the dam provides spectacular rafting opportunities through unique geology and historic areas. Public showers are available 3 miles away at Deer Run Campground, and dump stations are located at nearby campgrounds for a fee.
