Jack Hill State Park spans 662 acres in Reidsville on Georgia's coastal plain and offers diverse recreation opportunities alongside rich local history. The park is situated on the Southeast Georgia Wiregrass and Woodpecker Trails, near the Ohoopee and Altamaha Rivers. Originally named Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park, it was renamed in 2020 to honor late Georgia Senator Jack Hill, who championed improvements including cabins, shelters, the splash pad, and golf course expansion. The campground features 29 sites for RVs and tents, all equipped with water, electricity, picnic tables, and grills. Five sites offer full sewer hookups, and a dump station is available. A centrally located bathhouse provides restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The park's 12-acre lake is a focal point for fishing, with docks available for anglers. During warmer months, visitors can rent aquacycles, kayaks, and fishing boats. An observation deck offers views of beaver dams and wetland wildlife. Brazell's Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole Par 71 championship course that plays nearly 7,000 yards from the tips with five sets of tees. The signature 17th hole is a 207-yard Par 3 over scenic wetlands to an island green, accessed by a 1,500-yard winding bridge. The pro shop offers rentals and junior/senior discounts. Additional amenities include 10 cottages facing the golf course with screened porches and fireplaces, four picnic shelters, a large group shelter, a seasonal splash pad, miniature golf, FootGolf, outdoor fitness equipment, a 1-mile nature trail, and playgrounds. Wi-Fi is available in the park office and golf course clubhouse.
