About

Island Camp is a small, established campground located along the South Fork of the Coquille River in the Powers Ranger District of Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. With only 5 campsites, this intimate campground offers a quiet riverside experience surrounded by forest shade, making it particularly appealing during hot summer months. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. The campground is primitive with vault toilets and no potable water available. Campers must bring their own drinking water. Garbage disposal service is provided from Memorial Day weekend through October. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available. It is accessible via Forest Road 3300, approximately 17 miles south of Powers, Oregon. The South Fork of the Coquille River provides opportunities for fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. The surrounding forest offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking on forest roads, and plant and wildlife observation. Standard forest service regulations apply, including quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., leashed pets, and a 14-day maximum stay.
