About

Buck Creek Campground is a quiet, primitive campground tucked into the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest in Coos County, Oregon. With only two campsites, it offers a secluded experience for those seeking solitude along the Powers to Glendale Bike Route. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit, and a vault toilet is available. The campground operates on a pack-it-out basis with no garbage service, and campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on site. Campfires are permitted only in the developed fire pits. Dogs are allowed but must remain leashed, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The maximum length of stay is 14 days. The campground provides access to the Panther Ridge Trail #1253, located about six miles away, which leads to the scenic Hanging Rock viewpoint. The remote location and small size make this an ideal spot for cyclists on the bike route or hikers seeking a base camp for exploring the surrounding wilderness.
