Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.
Umpqua National Forest Ranger Stations Holiday Closures
All Umpqua National Forest Offices will be closed on December 24 and December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026.Umpqua National Forest Headquarters in Roseburg will be closed December 25 and December 26, 2025.
Forest Road Closures and Delays
Expect DelaysOn the Cottage Grove Ranger District, Herman Creek Bridge repair and work on National Forest Service Road 1700-623 is occurring. One lane will remain open, expect delays. Drive with caution in the area as staff may also be working under the bridge.

Order No. 06-15-25-01 - Stay Limit of 14 Days
Camping within a five-mile radius for longer than 14 days and staying longer than 28 calendar days in a given year is prohibited.
About
Diamond Lake Campground occupies a prime location on the east shore of mile-high Diamond Lake in the Umpqua National Forest, providing visitors with spectacular views of Mount Bailey and Mount Thielsen. This large campground features 238 sites, including 51 lakeshore campsites and 187 inshore sites, accommodating tents, RVs, and trailers up to 35 feet in length. All sites are equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. At an elevation of 5,183 feet, Diamond Lake offers abundant recreational opportunities year-round. The lake is stocked annually with 300,000 rainbow trout fingerlings, providing excellent fishing from boat or shore. The 11-mile paved Dellenback Trail encircles the lake, ideal for biking and hiking. Swimmers can enjoy the cold, refreshing waters, while boaters have access to nearby boat ramps and fish cleaning stations. Interpretive programs are offered on Saturday evenings at the campground amphitheater during the summer season. The campground sits within the Umpqua National Forest's 984,602 acres of diverse ecosystems, shaped by explosive geologic events. Several wilderness areas, including the 19,100-acre Boulder Creek Wilderness, offer opportunities for solitude among old-growth forests. The campground provides convenient access to the Pacific Crest Trail and is located near Crater Lake National Park, Oregon's only national park. A nearby resort offers bicycle, boat, and horse rentals, along with lodging, restaurants, a grocery store, laundry facilities, and fuel.
Directions
From Roseburg, turn onto OR-138 east and drive 80 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 4795 (Diamond Lake Loop) at the north entrance to Diamond Lake Recreation Area. Proceed 2.5 miles to the campground entrance on the right. From Klamath Falls or Bend, follow US-97 to OR-138 west, approximately 22.5 miles to FR 4795. From Medford, follow OR-62 and OR-230 to OR-138 north, approximately 4 miles to FR 4795.
