An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the Washington Department of Ecology An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan and Douglas Counties until Wednesday September 2 at 10am due to current and expected smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Unhealthy levels for areas downwind from active wildfires. Be sure to check air monitors in your area before outdoor activities. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.

About

Ida Creek Campground occupies a scenic location at the confluence of Ida Creek and Icicle Creek, approximately 13 miles southwest of Leavenworth via Icicle Road. At 2,500 feet elevation, the campground provides access to excellent fishing opportunities in Icicle Creek and serves as a staging area for hiking and backpacking into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The campground features 10 single sites available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site accommodates up to 2 tents or 1 RV plus 1 tent, with a maximum of 2 vehicles per site. Trailers and RVs are limited to 30 feet in length. Vault toilets are provided, and the facility includes wheelchair-accessible amenities. Potable water is not available, so campers must bring their own water supply. Payment can be made on-site using cash, check, or the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. Holders of Interagency Senior or Access passes receive a 50% discount on single-site fees.

Directions

From Leavenworth, head southwest on US-2 West for 0.8 mile. Turn left onto Icicle Road (FS Road 7600) and follow for approximately 13 miles. The campground is on the left at the confluence of Ida Creek and Icicle Creek.
