Hynds and donated to the Boy Scouts of America in 1922. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a premier rental facility within the park. The lodge provides overnight accommodations for up to 20 people, with a maximum event capacity of 90. Facilities include a large kitchen, dining room, living room, covered porch, and a distinctive stone fireplace and chimney. Additional tables and chairs are available for events, though linens, plates, and cooking equipment are not included with the rental. The amphitheater, located a short distance from Hynds Lodge, can be rented separately and hosts concerts, theater productions, and various cultural activities. The venue is popular for weddings and large group gatherings, offering a scenic mountain setting in the foothills of the Laramie Mountains. Located along Highway 210 (Happy Jack Road), the site is easily accessible from both Cheyenne and Laramie.
