About
Horsfall Beach Campground is located along the central Oregon Coast within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, managed by Siuslaw National Forest. The 34-site campground sits directly on the beach and serves as an excellent base camp for off-road vehicle enthusiasts, with OHV trails and open riding zones located due north and northeast. A State of Oregon OHV permit is required for riding. The campground offers flush toilets, drinking water, trash collection, recycling, and an accessible beach viewing platform with outstanding Pacific Ocean views. Sites 1-23 are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, while sites 24-34 are more primitive without these amenities. There are no RV hookups or dump stations. Each site accommodates up to 2 vehicles. Beyond OHV riding, visitors can enjoy beachcombing, sunbathing, and swimming. Nearby non-motorized recreation includes Bluebill Lake Trail and the Wild Mare Horse Trail for hikers and horseback riders. The area is also excellent for bird watching in nearby Coos Bay.
