About

Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area encompasses over 6,000 acres of varied terrain including oak woodlands, rolling hills, lush canyons, and seasonal creeks in the Gabilan Mountains about five miles south of Hollister. The ADA camping area consists of six accessible campsites distributed across three Lower Ranch campgrounds: Lodge, Bee, and Madrone, each with two ADA sites. The Lower Ranch is dedicated to motorcycle and ATV recreation and offers the best amenities in the park, including flush restrooms, hot showers, potable water, fire rings, and free WiFi. A camp store on-site sells ice, firewood, propane, and motorcycle parts. There are no hookups anywhere in the park. Camping costs $10 per vehicle per night with a 15-consecutive-day limit and 30-day annual maximum. The park is open 365 days a year with quiet hours from 10 PM to sunrise. Dogs are permitted on a 6-foot leash in camping areas but are prohibited on motorized trails. Vehicle operation and day use run from sunrise to sunset.
