About

Sunset SB Group Campground sits at Sunset State Beach, a scenic coastal park nestled between agricultural fields south of Santa Cruz and north of Monterey. The campground is set among Monterey pines and mountainous sand dunes, offering groups a peaceful retreat with ocean views. The group site can accommodate 9 to 50 people with parking for up to 10 vehicles. The campground provides access to a wide sandy beach via trails through the dunes, though visitors should be aware of dangerous rip currents, frigid water, and deep offshore dropoffs. The park features restrooms with outdoor showers, and drinking water is available throughout the facility. Group campers have access to fire rings for campfires and cooking. The beach itself serves as nesting habitat for the threatened Western Snowy Plover. This is a no-hookup campground with a maximum RV length of 31 feet. Dogs are permitted in the campground on a six-foot maximum leash but are not allowed on the beach. Firewood is available for purchase at the entrance station. The location offers convenient access to the greater Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area while maintaining a secluded, natural atmosphere.

Directions
