Hidden Lake Group Center sits in a scenic maple-basswood forest between Lake Carlos and Hidden Lake within Lake Carlos State Park. This established group facility is designed for organized groups of up to 60 people and offers comfortable bunk-style lodging rather than individual campsites. The center includes two bunkhouses sleeping 18 each, a staff building with 14 single beds and accessible bathrooms, and a craft building with additional sleeping space. The dining hall features a full commercial kitchen equipped with a gas range, six burners, griddle, walk-in cooler/freezer, and refrigerator. The hall includes a fireplace, tables and chairs for 60, and serves as the main gathering space. A separate shower building provides modern flush toilets and shower facilities. Outdoor amenities include a fire ring, picnic tables, paved sidewalks, a private boat dock, and an overlook with views of the surrounding lakes and forest. The group center operates seasonally and cannot be reserved through the online Minnesota state park reservation system. Groups must contact Lake Carlos State Park directly to make reservations. RVs are not permitted, and only service animals are allowed. The accessible staff building accommodates guests with mobility needs.
