About

Glacial Lakes State Park camper cabins provide a comfortable year-round lodging option in one of Minnesota's most unique landscapes. The park sits on a complex glacial deposit where prairieland and central hardwood forests meet, offering dramatic vistas from rolling hills. Four year-round heated cabins (Kames, Kettle, Glacial Erratic, and Esker) feature electricity and screened porches, while two additional seasonal cabins operate from April through October. Each cabin is a rustic 12x16 foot structure with wooden bunkbeds, a table, and benches, accommodating up to six people. The cabins do not have indoor plumbing, but are located near the campground where seasonal restrooms, showers, and drinking water are available, with primitive toilets accessible year-round. Each cabin includes an outdoor picnic table and fire ring. The park offers excellent opportunities for hiking, skiing, swimming at the beach on Mountain Lake, fishing, and boating with electric motors only. The native prairie landscape showcases wildflowers and grasses from spring through fall, creating a wide-open feel that once dominated Minnesota.
