About
Hawkins Reservoir Campground is a free, primitive BLM campground situated alongside the 40-acre Hawkins Reservoir in southeastern Idaho. The campground offers 10 developed campsites on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Facilities include two vault toilets, picnic tables, shelters, and two parking areas. A boat ramp and dock provide easy access to the reservoir for fishing and non-motorized boating. The campground serves as a gateway to extensive BLM and Forest Service OHV trail systems. There are no dumpsters on site, so visitors must pack in and pack out all trash. No potable water is available; campers should bring an adequate supply. The maximum stay is 14 days. Campground rules and regulations are posted at the site.
Directions
From Virginia, Idaho, travel west on Hawkins Road for approximately 8 miles to the campground.
