About
Goodenough Creek Campground is a Bureau of Land Management facility located in the scenic foothills near McCammon, Idaho. This no-fee campground offers 10 developed sites, with 5 designated for tent camping and 5 designed to accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. All sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system in place.
The campground is equipped with vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. There are no dumpsters on site, so visitors must pack in and pack out all trash. No water is available, so campers should bring adequate supplies. The campground serves as a gateway to both motorized and non-motorized trails that lead into the Caribou-Targhee National Forest trail system, making it popular with OHV enthusiasts, hikers, and horseback riders. The surrounding area offers beautiful views and access to diverse recreational opportunities in the Portneuf watershed.
Directions
From McCammon, cross over I-15 and go west about a mile. The road connects to Marsh Creek Road. Turn left on Marsh Creek Road and travel about a quarter mile. Take a right onto Green Road. Continue about 2 miles to the recreation area.
