About
Hardley Creek Park sits on the shores of West Point Lake in Troup County, Georgia, and is the only U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park located south of the West Point Dam and Powerhouse. Unlike the traditional campgrounds elsewhere on West Point Lake, Hardley Creek operates as a day-use facility offering a single reservable group shelter with 15-amp electric hookups that can accommodate up to 36 visitors. The park is particularly known for its wildlife viewing opportunities and fishing access. Public fishing piers provide bank fishing along the lake, and a dedicated pond allows preteens and visitors with disabilities to fish in a more accessible setting. Paved walking trails wind through the park, and kayak and canoe launch facilities make it easy to get out on the water. This location is unstaffed. The group shelter is available for reservation through Recreation.gov at $175 per day, with check-in at 9:00 AM and checkout at 9:00 PM. Cancellations require 14 days notice for refunds. For general information, contact the West Point Project Management office.
