About

Hardley Creek Park is the only U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park operated south of the West Point Dam and Powerhouse on West Point Lake. Located just three miles north of West Point along Alabama County Road 266, this popular day-use park attracts local visitors seeking outdoor recreation on the shores of West Point Lake. The park provides a variety of amenities for day visitors including paved walking trails, kayak and canoe launch facilities, and ample picnic areas. Fishing opportunities abound, with bank fishing access along the lake. The park is particularly noted for its unique wildlife viewing opportunities. One reservable group shelter with 15-amp electric hookup is available, accommodating up to 36 people for gatherings from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This location is unstaffed, but visitors can reach the West Point Project Management office for general information. Pets are allowed on leash (six feet or less) but are not permitted on beaches. The park prohibits golf carts and off-road vehicles including UTVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes. Parking is first-come, first-served in designated spaces only.
