Hades Campground is nestled in the scenic North Fork Drainage of the southern Uinta Mountains, approximately 17 miles from Tabiona, Utah. Set at 7,400 feet elevation in a beautiful mixed forest of aspen, subalpine fir, lodgepole pine and spruce, the campground sits just above the North Fork Duchesne River and provides stunning views of the surrounding canyon. Summer wildflowers are plentiful throughout the area. The campground features 14 single and double-family sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. Several sites offer river views. The facility provides vault toilets and trash collection, with dirt roads and parking spurs throughout. Each single site accommodates 1 vehicle, 1 RV/trailer, 1 tent, and up to 8 people, while double sites allow 2 vehicles, 2 RV/trailers, 2 tents, and up to 16 people. The North Fork Duchesne River offers excellent fly-fishing opportunities for brook, brown and rainbow trout. The area is popular for hiking, mountain biking, OHV riding, horseback riding, birding and wildlife viewing. The North Fork Drainage provides access to the Granddaddy Lake region of the High Uintas Wilderness via the Grandview Trail, where numerous alpine lakes offer exceptional backcountry fishing and wilderness experiences.

Directions

From Duchesne: Take Highway 27 north 6 miles to Highway 35. Turn west on Highway 35 towards Tabiona and travel 30 miles. Turn north onto North Fork Road and travel 6 miles to the campground. From Highway 40: Turn north on Highway 208 to Tabiona (10 miles). Turn northwest onto Highway 35, proceed through Tabiona and Hanna 13 miles to North Fork Road. Turn north and travel 6 miles to the campground.
