About

Grubb Hollow Campground is located on the lower Current River, just across the water from Kelley Bluff. This backcountry campground offers 5 campsites right along the riverway in one of the more remote sections of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. While backcountry campgrounds have fewer amenities than developed sites, they offer some of the most beautiful and peaceful locations in the park. All sites include picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts. Year-round vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water. With close proximity to the Current River, visitors can enjoy swimming, floating, fishing, and excellent canoeing opportunities. The surrounding Ozark woods provide scenic beauty throughout the year. Reaching Grubb Hollow requires driving approximately 30 minutes south of Van Buren via Highway 60, Highway C, Highway F, and finally County Road F-227 (also called Grubb Hollow Road). The final 2.5 miles are on gravel roads. The remote location and road conditions make this campground ideal for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience in the Ozarks.

Directions

From Van Buren, drive west on Highway 60 for about 5 miles. Turn south onto State Highway C and follow for 7 miles, then turn left onto State Highway F at Eastwood. Drive down Highway F for roughly 5.75 miles, then turn right onto County Road F-227 (Grubb Hollow Road). Stay on this road for about 2.5 miles, then turn right into Grubb Hollow Campground. The final 2.5 miles are gravel roads.
