About

Cedar Spring Campground sits on the lower Current River in Ozark National Scenic Riverways, offering an intimate camping experience with just two sites. This isolation makes it ideal for campers seeking privacy and solitude along one of the Ozark's premier floating rivers. The river is only a few feet from camp, providing easy access to swimming, fishing, and launching float trips. The campground features basic backcountry amenities: vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts at each site. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The surrounding landscape includes dramatic stone bluffs that catch the evening light, and a nearby field offers opportunities to spot wildlife. The access road is gravel for approximately 3.5 miles, making this campground best suited for vehicles with adequate clearance.

Directions

From Van Buren, MO, drive west on Highway 60 for about 5 miles. Turn south onto State Highway C and follow for 7 miles. Turn left onto State Highway F at Eastwood. Continue roughly 5.75 miles, then turn right onto Grubb Hollow Road. Follow until it dead-ends at Cedar Spring Campground. The final 3.5 miles are gravel.
